My experience is the opposite. I wasn't with it when I was young. The stuff I was in to was all nerd shit like DnD and Magic the Gathering. Nerd chic (I'm looking at you, Big Bang Theory) is just the worst thing. Now I know how punk fans feel when a band they like goes mainstream. Normies get out reeeee etc etc etc.
