Hugetastic 550-600sh pound Halibut are utter beasts and net you a small fortune. 25ish years ago I had the pleasure/struggle to help offload one of those (520pds btw) from a relatively small long liner in Petersburg, SE Alaska. Biggest fish I've ever seen besides Whale Sharks. $1500-2000 buck fish back then, god knows now.
