It never ceases to amaze me just how financially illiterate most people are. Winning the lottery highlights this. A study from a few years ago shows that the majority of Brits who won the main prize in their national lottery filed for bankruptcy after 10-20 years and then live of welfare. It's crazy. But then again, think how many people fall for the old "Buy a phone for $999 or $99 a month for 12 months, interest free!" BS. And then these people vote for other idiots who have a say in how the national budget is run.

Well, six guys didn't raise that flag. Six guys raised one flag which was taken down and then another flag was raised by a not identical group of Marines. That's second flag raising is what was photographed and became history. That's what the monument is of. So great example for a political cartoon I guess?
