Experimental Boat design 1940 . . . they thought this thing could break 300 mph!!

Cut to modern times and reality, 300 mph on water has only been broken a few times. But only one person has survived, basically the risks are monumental and you crash = instant death.

So that water speed record has been held since 1978. Ken Warby - who has since died of old age.

My photo of that boat:

317.6mph is what he was clocked at. Watching the footage is insane.

Also...the amount of damage done to a human body when it hits water at that speed...

Typical high-speed water impact injuries:

Instant skeletal destruction
Massive internal organ rupture
Aortic transection (the heart’s major vessel tearing)
Lung collapse and hemorrhage
Traumatic amputations
Skin and muscle tearing from hydrodynamic forces

At high speeds the water can't displace fast enough and decimates the body. Think about what happens to a bullet when it hits water. Different mechanism, same outcome.

Aye. Hitting water at 75 mph is enough for most people.

It's also literally a commonly used CnC method for extremely hard metals and stone, called waterjet cutting

I've already got this covered. I have a close friend who doesn't know any of my family or other friends (met through working together) and she's essentially a 5'8" Angelica Houston Morticia. Current plan is, she shows up walks up to my open casket.. .Then takes out a container of salt, pours it around my body, put copper coins in both my eye sockets, screams "AND THIS TIME YOU'LL STAY DEAD" and leave without saying anything else to anybody.

Lawyer’s salaries the mean isn’t a good representation. You either work at a small firm/public and make shit, or you work in big law and make the actual money.

Don't forget that if you want to work in a big firm and make that big money, you need to first work for 5 - 10 years in a "low" salaried position, as a whipping boy for 80+ hours a week.
