This is Salesforce Park. It's a 5.4 acre roof top park made for public use. It sits atop the Salesforce Transit Center buildings (as well as a few others). I think this is brilliant.
Very cool. I wonder what the increased cost of resources it takes to put a layer of dirt, plumbing and everything else on top of a large building.
Singapore leads the way in this, will be interesting to see it continue to develop.

It's really is remarkable. Apparently there are a lot of cities that have become a great deal more efficient by having planted rooftops. I'm all for it. I know it costs some resources, but apparently the entire building, and those around it, use less air conditioning, many collect rain water and make the planted garden nearly self sufficient. I love the idea of it, and having lived in a huge metropolis area it would be fantastic to be able to escape to a green space on top of a tall building away from traffic noise.
