Even if true there's a big difference between 'you dont have to cater to them' and 'its fine to go out of your way to alienate them as much as possible'

This was cool to watch happen over the past few days.

The video he watched that started it all, is really good. I am sure she would eventually get this many subs on her own, so I think this was just a nice boost.

There is a demo for this new indie game. It's a first person deck building rouge-like. The art style and gameplay looks promising.

My Office Monitor: 32" 1440p HP Omen 165 hz w/ 1 ms latency
My Living Room TV: 75" 4K Sony X90J 60hz w/ 8 ms latency

I decided to put my XSX into my living room after keeping it in my office for the past 18 months or so. Mix things up a bit. I tested out a few games: Doom Dark Ages, Dark Souls 3, and Call of Duty 3, and the latency between 1 ms and 8 ms is INSANE. I used the same exact HDMI 2.1 cord and setup as my office as my living room. It's so wild how you think you wouldnt be able to tell a big difference between 7 MS but its VERY noticeable. I had to move my XSX back to my office monitor.

Using a mouse/keyboard, and/or a corded controller isn't really noticeable for me compared to a wireless controller. There is a slight variance but its almost undetectable. Using a 8ms vs 1ms tv is black and white difference.

I’ve considered it for nostalgia. The first console and game I bought with my own money as a kid was PS1 and Gran Turismo one. I’d probably play online after finishing all the career stuff.
I don’t have any consoles now and I’d want a wheel and pedals. Seems like a huge commitment for one game.

There are many games my fren.

I have been following this solo dev's progress online and he finally has a Steam page for his game. Release date is sadly a ways away, set to be Q3 2026. It's a Dark Fantasy RPG with open world and co-op.

I have this on my wish list so I can provide updates as they come out.

I have no idea how GeForce Now works, do you play your own games through it?

Anyways, native support for Steam Deck now.

GPU augmented VDI - it uses your steam creds for what games you can play... or it did.

I was in charge of VDI at my last job, we were doing GPU enabled VDI for stuff, and everything then was kinda new- we chose ATI as they didnt charge you twice like NVidia (you pay $$$$$ for the cards then $$$ PER desktop that had it ENABLED - not in active use, but just if its even enabled and in a pool somewhere) - so we bought the cards and stuff, and to get everything going properly we call ATI through our resale partner and basically get told "Yeah, that entire department is 1 guy, and Amazon just bought our entire stock of VDI GPU cards for a project, so he is there now..." This was all around when ATI just announced their new line of VDI GPU cards that essentially changed the way things work, to make them work like one would think they should work when historically they didn't.

But all that was like 7-8 years ago... so I am now just rambling for no real reason ;-)

GFN is cloud streaming. It works well for most games. The biggest downside is that Nvidia and Steam allowed publishers to remove their games from the service instead of telling them to fuck off. Yet another side effect of digital gaming where you don't really "own" anything. It also supports EGS so you can play all those free games they give away without downloading their shit software to your own PC, as well as a handful of GOG games (just CDPR stuff, last I checked). I'm actually surprised it took them this long to get official Steam Deck support going. They've had clients for TVs, streaming boxes, phones, and tablets for ages now.

So you are saying Nvidia is a bunch of greedy assholes? I bet next you'll say they draw too much amperage through small wires too.
