I mean the only thing I really care for EA wise has been ruined for decade or more by woke shit. Bioware, Dice and maybe a few more, cant think of them now but yeah, shit has been in ruins for a long time now. So it either gets better or it stays the same/gets worse which I dont see it in the hands of arabs.

Yup. I am actually excited about the change of ownership, for over the past decade I have only watched EA refuse to make the kind of games I would want them to make and double down on shit I never desired. For real I need to go back to the 360 era to reference a time when I considered EA a decent company that made games I really liked.

I would love to see them bring back franchises like SSX, Road Rash, Command and Conquer, NBA Street, and Sim City.

I specifically want command and conqure without every unit having a clicky. Just let the unit fire it at will (like generals or supreme commander) not a goddamn hotkey per unit type (like ra3 cnc 3)

It's only because the 00's gaming industry was so based that they managed to make some great games back in the day. Now wonder they have sucked ever since.

Only because Dota for some reason stopped doing the battlepass prize pool. Pretty lame.

Also a Saudi team won TI2025 this year. Of course it was coached and played by CIS players (although they had one Jordanian I think).

Players are international, Slovakia/Russia/Jordan/Denmark/USA. Also part of why the prize pool is lower is cause they split it into the majors instead of having the major pay peanuts and be only glorified qualifiers and then TI being 95% of the year's payout, but yeah not crowdfunding the prizepool doesn't help.

with any luck it's just an IP harvest.fire all the califonized developers. make a new CNC with asians that love the genre, generous use of AI voices, taking lessons from various RTS. we've seen chineese devs making bangers. they could go ham with EA IP's

All the bullshit aside, that's a very big company that won't have to organize it's operations around quarterly reports and whatnot anymore. That's good for a gaming company, if it can not sell off and fire a bunch of people to due to the debt service.
