Wrecking a car so hard it ejects people and catches fire he probably wasn’t conscious.
I got t-boned. Car was in big chunks all over the place. I was not conscious for weeks. I can say with certainty he was collecting his wings before the car came to a rest.

This is a really popular spot for rich people to take out fast cars in SoCal. Stuff like this happens regularly on this road.

Probably turned off the traction and stability controls, like most people who are clueless.

This video shows dashcam footage of a crash in the same spot. Long straight away in the dark tunnel that exists in the bright light directly into a turn. Speeding drivers cant react in time.

so has anyone played the TMNT splintered fate game? I know it’s a roguelite but it has a dumb down story mode apparently and is 4player couch.

I have two kids that love classic turtles and April is not black in this game. We’ve played the fuck out of the Shredders revenge and Cowabunga collection. This is on sale for $12 right now and seems to have overall positive reception. Thoughts?

Maybe, I've had the nannies cause me to go off the road before. Granted I was trying to break the tail lose to fishtail around a 90 degree turn for fun... but still!

At least it looks like they (car club, probably) were doing stupid shit on public roads the "correct" way, in that they had people set up in front of them, hopefully giving him the all clear. If you are are going to kill someone doing some stupid shit in a car, try to make sure it's only yourself (and people that hopefully knew that they were also putting themselves at risk).

Looks like he got some of the gravel and the car stopped turning due to loss of grip.

On the subject of AI usage, you get instances like this where there's some artificial outcry over AI slop, but to be intellectually honest, why is it the AI where the line is drawn?

Slop is slop, and it has always been slop before any of this virtue signaling about art despite numerous industries being taken over by talentless tourists who have been making nothing but slop and cratering franchises.

They obviously weren't decrying these companies trading out passionate developers for worthless diversity hires so they could cash in on ESG checks.

So in a case like Call of Duty, if all AI does is put some danger hair idiot out of a job, then nothing of value was even lost, and the people at the top were setting out to make soulless garbage regardless.

Those people should be angry at themselves for continuing to support the mindless cash grabs because eventually outsourcing the work to an AI was the end goal to maximize profits.

I don't Care if 100 percent of art in a project/game is ai. If it is of high quality, and the overall project has consistent style and theme and feels great to play. The day rapidly approaches where one man can make a whole project (game, movie, tv show) like some kind of super art director. Like how a writer can hand craft a world. If a guy wants to carefully direct ai to create a world. So be it. I have no love of Moody activist """artists""". They had their chance. They squandered it.

I’m sailing the same ship. I give zero fucks if human hands typed the code or if A.I. spit it out. I’m happy to just judge the final product.

Problem #2 is keeping Government the fuck out of it unless an actual—and that’s the problem— crime is being committed like having the code steal passwords, compromise accounts, etc. It’s when they define “crime” as not having enough diversity hires, or the A.I. not pushing enough DEI messages, etc.

Everything is derivative of something from the past. But derivation isn't created equal. A person who created something from scratch with inspiration from their favorite book or TV show is different then a person who copies line for line their favorite artist. Same with AI. Not all models are created equal. There will be people that mold AI into a creative powerhouse, and people (like blops 7) that just use the general available gibli art generator to create slop.

FYI, the Biden administration had already mandated LLMs only pull from left-leaning sources.

Personally, I am fine with AI everything*, as long as it is disclosed. If the AI product isn't immediately inferior to the human-made product, well, that tells you everything about the humans involved.

*Do they complain if their produce isn't mule furrowed? That their shirt isn't hand spun wool? That their car engine wasn't hand timed one at a time? If not, why do they complain about AI, other than their being hypocrites when its the labor market they're in?

**That AI and other business automation could render large chunks of the population purposeless is a valid societal concern, but has no real relation to how some textures are made in a video game.

The best use of AI in game development is going to be in helping "fill in the blanks" that a human dev team experiences while making the game: Smoothing out animations, fleshing out flavor content, creating more meaningful "fluff" content.

Like for example, one complaint about Starfield was all the copy-paste POI on planets. What if you could use AI to actually generate more varied content using parameters you input, having a human give some final touches, and then adding that? You can still have your hand crafted POI, but then you have have more varied random POI stuff over "cave00, cave01, cave02" and that is it

The best use of ai in game development is going to be 3 shitbirds using it to make a deus vult AAA game that's not beholden to goblin banker ESG nonsense, sweet baby Inc or the ideology of rainbow haired faggots. I'll deal with janky animations

That's what people are hoping AI will do but it's not there.
