I actually think it’s more a “gaming still relevant?” Almost all the money is on shit they can harpoon whales on. If it was “traditional gaming,” consoles would still be super relevant. They’ll definitely be in a precarious price spot but still win on ease of use. The average consumer will still go console. Even GTA6 only matters to start selling more shark cards.
Sony has really fucked themselves. PS4 had a lot of good will. And that seemed to extend into the Ps5 era. Now it’s dead. Xbox is dead.

same, i've pretty much switched over to playing nintendo first party games and a few indies and really only play on vacation.
western studios and their games are mostly DOA. I enjoyed 007 but it was like 50% as good as Hitman and filled with a lot of nonsense, but even that was like 90% better than everything else western studios put out. everything from EA, Sony and Microsoft now is utter trash. i'm expecting GTA 6 to be a dumpster fire.
