They're putting themselves into a grave willingly it seems. I imagine a ps6 will be $1000+ and be sold as some long term media center integration unit to convince people it's worth it .ps5 is probably the last sony console i buy

I actually think it’s more a “gaming still relevant?” Almost all the money is on shit they can harpoon whales on. If it was “traditional gaming,” consoles would still be super relevant. They’ll definitely be in a precarious price spot but still win on ease of use. The average consumer will still go console. Even GTA6 only matters to start selling more shark cards.
Sony has really fucked themselves. PS4 had a lot of good will. And that seemed to extend into the Ps5 era. Now it’s dead. Xbox is dead.
Long Live Nintendo I guess. They suck too. At least online is cheapo if you do that on Nintendo consoles. But they don’t want physical either.
