From what I could gather it looks like a spiritual successor to the 2022 release Scorn, hopefully this game avoids the same pitfalls.

I'd replace skyrim with morrowind. Disco is a bit too niche but probably deserves it all the same. ME2 over 3.

I really think that Disco is top 3. Fallout NV, Torment, and Witcher 3 should all be higher, and I think Witcher 3 would be my #1. KOTOR 1 was better than KOTOR 2 and ME 2 over ME 3. I would also have to see how they categorize games like Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines and Shadowrun for the SNES.

Im not sure any mass effect would make my top 10 really, as much as like 1 and some of 2. Although I think me1 might edge above dragonage origins.
Wrath of the righteous would be #1 or 2 for me.
Wizardry 8 needs to be in there.

If modding counts then Skyrim probably at least belongs in the vicinity of the top 10. Without mods NWN definitely does not.

I mean that literally - which do you include / exclude out of Mass Effect / Cyberpunk 2077 / Fallout 4? Those characters have wildly different skill sets and narratives based on your choices.
Is it background stats? Because then Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is an RPG.
Is it a level system? Because even most shooters lock weapons and abilities behind levels, whether character or season-pass based. Is Call of Duty 25 an RPG?
Gun to my head, I would say something like

Planescape Torment
Kotor 1
Deus Ex (2000)
Mass Effect 2
Shadowrun SNES
and a ten way tie beyond that.
As far as KOTOR 2 goes, it has some really interesting material in changing your companions based on your choices, and some of the most plausible dark side beliefs, but mechanically and storyline-wise it's a mess, and might literally be the game best suited by a remake (or a timeline with more dev time).

Not a bad list at all. I would rank PS:T much higher, top 3 for me. Mass Effect 3 should just be Mass Effect Trilogy. If we go by the number of hours we have sunk into a particular game, I would be with

and have Wizardry 8 in there. Witcher 3 would be higher, probably can switch places with DA:0.Overall though, every single game on this list I've played and enjoyed immensely.
