I just finished playing this a 2nd time with my son. Some of the level design is really amazing so I would stick with it.

God damn it, they didn't use the first season intro track US version. So much better. Game looks cool though.

I just know when I was watching it originally in the early 2000s, I always just enjoyed watching the intro, and then suddenly they changed it which was weird with the Greek singing shit.

The Season 1 intro had that gritty, militaristic vibe that matched the survival tone early on. But the chant they switched to in later seasons isn’t Greek, it’s actually Sanskrit. It’s a 3,500 year old hymn from the Rigveda, one of the oldest spiritual texts in the world.

Interestingly, the mantra’s theme of seeking divine light to guide the intellect actually aligns with the Cylons journey. As they evolve from machines to spiritual beings searching for purpose, the mantra reflects their transformation more than the Colonists static beliefs. I read that Edward James Olmos was listening to the mantra while developing Adama’s character, and that inspired Bear McCreary to incorporate it into the score.

Voyager holds a special place for me. I remember it was always one of the last shows on before the infomercials came on back in the day. Just a nice quiet relaxing show about cruising through space. Was it the best Star Wars obviously not, but its far from the worse and it had some amazing episodes and it wasn't horrible. The doctor was great and it has some of the best Borg lore in the universe.

It definitely wasn't the best Star Wars.
