I'm noticing a distinct female to male ratio in that dev team picture. This the Lifetime of dev studios or something?
I listened to this video yesterday about men’s fiction lit

A big part of the discussion is the difference between media made for men by men vs for women by women.

one of the authors said that if he wrote for Lifetime, he wouldn’t be surprised if the movies started shifting from modern suburb settings to war torn Napoleonic Europe or WW2 and be more action/violence focused.

know your audience. Men want video games that are stoic and violent, not relationship dramas filled with social dynamics and SJW topics. Women may want that in games but they’re the minority of people who would play Fable, or any of these games they’ve turned into intersectionalist Trojan Horses

The more open world games I play, the more I despise relationship options that are not built into the core of the story. To the point of hating the game. A small part of me hates BG3 because I could never tell if a line with my party members was to an interesting quest or just a way to shove some corny PG13 sex shit in that cannot go anywhere because it cannot be part of the overarching story. Infuriating.

I’ve learned to just not play open-word games made >2020. There are exceptions (like Elden Ring), but usually it’s just filled with filler, travel missions, or follow missions.

My favorite relationship quest so far was when you 'marry' the princess in DS3 by completing their marriage ritual of driving her sacred sword through her head. That was a shocking quest line.

DS3 is my favorite FS game.

If they patched BB to be >60-100fps and put it on pc, it might take the spot. BB is only 30 fps. But Sony doesn’t want the easy win, I guess.
