Ain't no way I am giving an overglorified forum company my ID and facial scan. Discord was already a detriment for separating content and making it unfindable from the general internet, I hope this crashes and burns it in a hurry.

Stoat (formerly Revolt) is the most like Discord (UI-wise)

Teamspeak, qTox, and Mumble are the other ones you could look into (or Native Steam Voice Chat if you're only doing gaming)

I do not use digital Face ID or thumb print.

however, I am for an ID on discord to protect children from sexual predators.

That sucks because I use Discord on Xbox and PS5 to crossplay with friends on PC. Not sure there's other ways to have chat in crossplay without Discord.

Roblox predators tell their victims to go to discord. Roblox bans people for all sorts of stuff, while discord openly allows people to sexually interact with minors.

So objectively you are wrong, they care much less.

This is kind of going to be the new norm. Using CSAM as a front to push authoritarian mechanisms. It's been going on in the EU for a few years now. And if you object you look like the creep.

If you only use your phone, it prohibits you from listening to the game (which is helpful in competitive multiplayer).

the benefit of discord is you can listen to the sound in the game (like footsteps coming around the corner) AND you can hear your friend say that the game is bullshit at the same time.

So I known a bunch of state legislatures went after porn. Whatever. That’s the point of states’ rights. However, everyone knows the age is just a number and children can consent crowd (looking at you you creepy fuck Vaush) are leftists. And I think a few leftist states have jumped on the porn ID bandwagon. So what’s the play here that this is catching like fire across companies. Who they selling it to and to what purpose?
