Indeed. There were no Baldurs Gate games after Baldurs Gate 2. It is a isometric real-time-with-pause game, not the fake from Larian which had wildly different mechanics and camera angles.
Further, there was no Legend of Zelda 2
There was no Super Mario Bros 64
There was no Warcraft 3
There can be no change in game mechanics and game camera angle from one game to its sequel. So it is written, doesn't matter if the creators wanted it that way, only game mechanics decide.
