Still breaks my heart that Blizzard went down this path. I think it all went wrong with WoW. All that monies commin' in. They stopped being a game studio and started being a money printing machine.

Clockwork Revolution looks like it would have been a lot cooler if it wasn't so silly. I don't really like silly mixed with my mass murder simulations.

All in all, see no reason to get an X-Box or Gamepass (provided it's still on pc) right now or for the foreseeable future.

Doom 2016 is a near perfect game.
Doom Eternal was great but not as simple as 2016, and more complicated mechanisms was a little less fun. Graphics weren’t as scary / bloody, but generally was a great game.

Doom Dark Ages did everything wrong with AAA that 2016 didn’t do. Super robust cut scenes, retarded Joss Whedon dialogue, combat wasn’t fast and smooth like every Doom game before it, mandatory ray tracing, horrible optimization. no glory kills, etc. just generally AAA slop. They could’ve just made more of 2016 with better graphics.

While it is true that 50% of gamers are women, most of those are mobile players, and almost all of them are cozy games, not military and gore simulators like Gears of War.

I thought we were post console exclusives with Xbox. I still have an XSX, but I would rather play it on my pc where I’ll get more than 30 fps at low settings. A new game in 2026 coming out exclusively on hardware that’s 6 years old is bananas.

I built 3-4 PC's for a girl I knew to play video games, in all cases it was the Sims. Same sims too, I guess they micro $$$ several 'packs' for the game.
