Jokes on them, I have such a backlog I’ll be lucky to buy one full price game a year.

can't even say GTA 6 will be the last game i'll ever buy on PS5 and disc either.

oh well, this definitely means no PS6 for me, they have zero worthwhile games anymore and the only reason I still have mine is I buy games at gamestop 2-3x a year with b2g1, play them, and trade them in for basically what i paid. if i can't do that then i'll just wait for deep steam sales

so yeah, thanks Sony for making sure I switch to 100% pc gamer (with some Nintendo on the side I guess)

Console producers have been trying to kill the 2nd hand used game market for decades - hell, you could argue it goes all the way back to Nintendo suing Blockbuster Video to prevent the rental of video games back in the 90s.

They don't see a penny of 2nd hand sales and every 2nd hand game sold is in their eyes a lost sale on a new one.

But ya, places like Gamestop are fucked going forward since used game sales are a massive part of their business model and there is only so much demand for older games and game systems. If I recall, it works out to more than half their business.
