Well, I mean Microsoft does own them so its not their choice to make. But besides, whomever made FONV is prob long fucking gone anyway. Obsidian is prob a shell of its former self like all these studios. Talent prob left a long time ago for greener pastures. And also, Obsidian has not made a good game since, lol. They tried making their own "fallout like RPG" since and they were lackluster.

Josh Sawyer is still there and is in charge of the project. Which would ordinarily be a good thing since NV was as much his as Avellone's, but unfortunately he's also been brainwashed by the cultists in the meantime.

YEah like I said, their last installments of games have been shit. I honestly think FONV was a mistake that went right.

Wat?! Kotor 2 was good outside of the rushed ending (fixed with mods). Storm of Zaire wasn't bad and Mask of the Betrayer was a masterpiece (both NwN2 xpacs). Tyrany was great, outside the rushed ending. Stick of Truth was good for what it was (a JRPG). Finally Pillars of Eternity 1/2 weren't bad and the first one was released during the classic WRPG drought, which made for a better experience.

Everything since 2019 or so has been mediocre to shit though. From reading MCA (Avellone) talk about it, and maybe a few others, Feargus is a shithead that runs people off or pushed bad ideas.

What did I say that was not true? I was talking about "their last installments of games" which are all pretty much shit. I know they had some good shit back in the day. Pillars 1-2 were some of my faves. They actually just added turn based to pillars one which I need to replay now.

I really do not see/understand why people have even a slightest bit of hype about Obsidian making a Fallout:NV 2 given their recent releases. The primary devs they kept around worked on all the shit they've put out... so why expect anything better?

That's how I feel about it too - it won't stop me from buying it Day 1. My 6 1/2 year old loves slasher villians and can't wait to play this with me.

That's awesome. My kid got nightmares because he saw a skeleton in demons souls. Glad some kids aren't pussies

My bad, I read it more like "Their latest games have been shit, but thinking about it, all of them were shit except FONV, so it must have been a fluke."
