Update is to fix bugs the community already fixed better years ago, which will brick the bug fix mods and leave people with a shittier fix and broken mods. Time and resources they could have thrown at the next game. Triple loss all the way around.

I tried playing Skyrim SE recently , even with the 'improvements' I just could not get past the jank. Glad I didn't now, this would break all the mods I added. Best way to mod IMO is to use MODengine 2 and set the game in steam to update when ran. You use ME2 to run the game anyhow so it never updates.
Also this was really recently like in the past 3 weeks and most of Steam Workshop was broken crap. Makes sense the game is old as fuck.

At this point I run Skyrim in offline mode and set steam to update only when I choose.
