When I read how bad Blood of the dawnwalker was sounding I booted up a 16 year old 'Alpha Protocol' game and replayed it again. Funny thing was one of the main things the main bad guy had done was drive gas up to $4 a gallon.

Looking more and more like my next-gen Xbox taking the reins of #1 prophecy is coming to fruition. New Xbox CEO continues to overshadow bullshit Sony executive leadership.
Bro those came out 6 years ago. About time to refer to them as last gen or at the very least current gen.

Enshitification

“Users with high-end Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions, which cost $22.99 per month, will have access to 15 hours of cloud gaming. Game Pass Premium account holders, who pay $14.99 per month, will have 10 hours of cloud-based playtime, while Game Pass Essential, which costs $9.99 a month, includes five hours, according to the blog post.”

we are reverting back up dial-up days, only now it's for gaming. Paying more for the extra minutes/hours. Thank god I never was a console fag. As long as I have my old games, I'm good. I have no itch to buy any of the new games. Right now, not even gta when it comes to pc. Only game I kinda wanna see is Divinity because you can mod out the gay. As for the consoles, PS 6 is gonna cost like 4k if they wanna sell it an no loss. And they have to, there are no games in the pipeline that warrant buying it in the first place. Next xbox will have no ssd, it's gonna be all cloud. Mark my words.

Wait until Gabe dies and Steam turns into video game Netflix, where you're no longer able to "own" your library and now have to pay a monthly service fee for "access" to games that month.

all the games I wanna play can be pirated, so that is not a problem. None of them are live service

Eh, I fully expect to spend my retirement playing multi-emulated games (both from console to PC, and from X86 to ARM or whatever they have at the time), that are then further modified with elderly mods to accommodate our old-age vision, reflexes, carpal tunnel, etc.

I will survive without a shrug if I can't play Grand Theft Auto 8 without an Oscar Mayer Intel+ subscription.

Yeah that’s when gaming dies. It’s gonna suck.
I mean, pirating and Hamachi was a thing long before Steam popped off. But, this likely all comes right around the same time as social credit scores, restricted internet sites, etc.

We're following the Chinese model pretty well.
