Eh, it's not a positive sign, but its not a death knell either. Bungie's Chicago based, the Bellevue branch only started when MS bought them. And if you're not familiar with Bellevue, in a two block radius, off the top of my head, there's Valve, Pokemon, Sucker Punch, Tencent, and a dozen MS & Amazon buildings. The property will sell, and I'm sure they can use the cash.

Played it for a couple hours, seems cool. The UI and map designs are straight up octopath traveler. The job system seems interesting, like a combination of materia leveling and jobs.

I’m guessing the story will end up being weird since there’s characters from all the other final fantasies. In the first chapter they don’t talk about the other characters though, it just becomes a power that you use. If the gameplays solid a weak story wouldn’t bother me much. I’d say try the demo, I had fun with it and will probably get it if the steam reviews aren’t pointing out things later that would bug me.

Sitting up drinking some whiskey and listening to geopolitical commentary, and somehow this popped up out of nowhere.

Thought this was maybe the best place. Just kind of blew my mind, and made me go get another glass of whiskey. I mean I vaguely remember somebody having made this song on the forums but the fact that it just popped up out of nowhere on my YouTube deal was pretty crazy.

iirc the main story of FF15 doesn't actually include any of the various game-hopping characters, just the ones that are original to the game. It's really fucking weird to imagine FFBE being converted into a normal rpg.

15 is legitimately one of the worst games I've ever played. I beat it pre-dlc and there were spots main characters straight up disappeared and I knew it was dlc spots. Such a shit show.

16 was equally awful and I'm pissed that the demo sold me on that game. Only reason I bought it was I thought the premise was cool.
