I'm actually surprised they would try to patent that, seeing as how it's been a mechanic in many, many mobile games for years now.

The novelty here is recognizing key events in a game to trigger the ad where as mobile games are on fixed intervals. It would require access to internal states of the games too

Hey, if I was going to be laid off, I'd prefer it be as the superior title for pay and resume purposes.

I haven't been up to date with Halo, but they really didn't have any major projects in active development between Infinite and the (latest) remake? What the hell have their staff been doing for half a decade?

Also seeing that Obsidian is now being directly managed by Bethesda.

So if you wanted your Fallout even slightly free of Bethesda, I have bad news.

Lay offs in the MS sphere pay you 6 months of severance AND you still receive your stock and bonus payouts. It certainly could be worse.
