The OST and I agree the monster makes no sense in physics, so it looks really unnatural, animation wasn't great, but damn if it doesn't have some of the best still and slow shots of a Godzilla on film. The wide view of the fire spreading through the city, then getting superheated, is one of my favorite cinema shots of all time. I understand the hate that Shin Godzilla gets and why. I am not here to tell you what to enjoy and not enjoy. I am one of the few who do enjoy it, I suppose.

I don't think you're in the minority, I think I am. Everyone seems to fucking love it.

Like I said, I would love the movie if Godzilla himself looked even halfway decent. The rest of the shots are fine, it is just him. I mean come on, wtf is this??

By the end of the first act, you'd see it grow from this stage until it's 3rd form, the traditional bipedal upright we're used to. This zilla immediately evolves based on perceived threats. I thought it was cool, but I totally get why it would throw more traditional viewers, like yourself, off.

it's practically a zygote and would have "died" if the faggot prime minister didn't call off the attack

and then godzilla ran to eat up nuclear waste

I loved the movie. That being said, I took it as a horrible fucking take on the "look" of the character and moved on. But it was rough.

I feel ya, I guess they call it 'Kamata-kun', I am fucking with you. I think a lot of people were thrown off by this Goji and how he "evolves". I just cannot get over Legendary and their portrayal after the OG Legendary Goji, not a fan of King Kong riding Godzilla into a fucking battle, that's just IMHO.
