I like that he drives a 30 year old car and has 2 houses on the same street. That last part is kind of crazy. It's like an entire house he could turn into a man cave. Maybe he's a genius.

Yeah, I actually like that the show will be finishing the story--because it lets me not give a fuck about someone who now has more than enough money to not give a fuck himself. So, we've reached a kind of equilibrium of no more fucks given--shit is relaxing.

the consenus is that since no news of anyone beiong cast for those roles was announced, it means they are not doing any of that stuff and so its not important to the plot. euron ,victarion, aegon, strong belwas, patchface, penny, coldhands and lady stoneheart are sad pandas.

this is the spoiler thread, feel free to openly discuss whatever theories you wish. if you mean the dario=euron theory. thats been discussed quite a few times in this thread. i will say if that is the case and they ignored victarian and kingsmoots the reveal is not going to make any goddamned sense to non book readers. i doubt they would do that, dan and dave have been playing it fair with what materials from the book that they do use.

Problem is there are already way too many b-plots going on. Next season we have:

Jon & the wall
Kings Landing post-Tywin death
Dorne
Arya ninja training
Sansa+Littlefinger
Bolton+Reek stuff
Brienne stuff
Tyrion's adventure
Dany's stuff

The slate is pretty damned full for a 10 episode season. Introducing all the Iron Isles stuff would just be too much, especially if it ultimately goes no where.

I don't think the "if" is in much debate now. If they're leaving it out of the show, its because it's not relevant to the ending so it's just flavor. Which is fine for 2000 page tomes that take 5 years each to write I guess, but not for an already crazily expensive show.

Would not be surprised at all if Tyrion makes his way to Dany by episode 3 or so.

Hmm, I'm guessing mid or later half. The show loves bouncing 2 actors off each other, so I can easily see them doing:

1) Tyrion in Pentos. Varys scheme, etc.
2) They'll nix the whole Griff shit and send him off with Varys agents via river (we do know the river does show up, at least for a little bit)
3) Tyrion goes into a pub, Ser Friendzone is there and grabs him, thinking it will let him get back into Dany's good graces
4) Travel
6) Arrive

I honestly think i'm more excited for this season than I was season 4. take out all the bullshit of books 4 & 5 and there's an epic (albeit condensed) story to be told. yeah yeah /sadface about Victarion, I can imagine the odd couple style pairing of him an moqorro as the sail into slaver's bay (what do you mean i need to burn them? fuck your fire god, i'll send them to the deep for the drowned god. ok ok fuck it lets burn them then drown them then, you happy brah?). But ultimately if the two dozen or so iron born chapters over several books can be condensed into 10 seconds of dialogue from daario saying they took the meereenese navy (93 ships) then ok fine, the show must go on.
