The shitheap ending has really ruined the series. I don't think it has any rewatch value, either. You'd just be frustrated seeing all the cool things that turned out to go nowhere. Pic related.

I think you could go to Season 7 and then pretend that everyone died to the massive army of the Undead. That would make for a fitting enough ending that would keep in line with how the story should have played out, given the title quote of the first season.

On one hand, I felt the death Jorah ended up having on the show was pretty good in that we at least got to see the emotional effect on Dany...but I think I would have liked his version a whole lot better with a lot more deaths, and not just a few semi major guys with a few red shirts.

yea could have killed off sam and the big cunt and tormund and pod and story would still have been fine.

Killing off Brienne would have been better for some as it would have been a trigger for Jamie to return- and they could keep their Jamie is not a complete ass hat redemption arc alive.

The thing about GOT is the idea that anyone could die at any time. This episode shit in the face of that and all the main characters being seconds from death, then the scene cuts away for 15 minutes, then cuts back and now they're seconds away from death again somehow. Repeat. Is fucking garbage

Especially THAT episode...if Jorah goes out and gets wrecked in the first scene, I agree completely it would have set an all bets are off vibe that would have been great especially with a few more main deaths.

i think they didnt kill them off because they had nothing left for episode 6. as it was, episode 6 felt like it ended with jon killing Dany and Drogon flying off with her corpse. something they could have done in ep 5 instead of all that 9/11 porn filler. when you really think about it, they threw in so much filler that they could have only had 4 episodes or even just 3. it was a huge waste of time.
