I'm not much of an online gamer outside of MMOs, but what is the largest PC game as far as online users in 1 game/match for games that are locally hosted on someone's computer, and not dedicated servers? Has 64 been done regularly and reliably in other games?

I think Battlefield 3 would maybe make the cut, but I think that's being hosted on servers? Wouldn't know any others.

I had always assumed that the Battlefield/COD games were on dedicated servers, but maybe that is just the console versions

So anyone that's played online...have you noticed the lack of good cars or is that just the game I was in? My game was full of shitty looking suv crossovers and slow ass blistas and shit. Found one Banshee and then they started spawning...but god damn. Couldn't find a car I wanted to use for the first LS customs mission.

Man, that's lame. How does anyone even compete with whoever the host is? I used to play a lot of Quake and Unreal Tournament WAY back in the day, and the host computer with their zero ping always had an enormous advantage.

Any kind of truly competitive play is really hard to achieve with p2p, I've never played in a CoD league but I think they have to switch hosts at half or something of the sort. As for GTA V, I thought the single players was a AAA experience(though it could have used 4-5 more heists). The multiplayer is a shit show, though I would be more forgiving if they give you a bunch of different heists to do.

Haven't played V, but I think that GTA3 and VC were a lot harder than 4, if only because of shittier controls schemes and the like.

I think it's because the controls have gotten so much better, and response is amazing. That and the auto-aim/snap feature they put into 4 and 5. Also being able to duck behind cover makes things 100x easier.

And the driving, oh god how the driving has improved.

Auto-aim makes the game a joke. They need to remove that.

Every fight ends up just "left trigger-right trigger-left trigger-right trigger" & repeat until you win.

They can get rid of auto-aim when they let me use a mouse/keyboard. Fuck I hate console fps so much.

Yeah totally. I didn't die alot for the story.
Big budget games seem more and more to become movies you play through. Not a bad development, but they're easy enough for fucking 7 year olds to finish the game.

Yeah was the same for me, from rank 6 and up you get to see better cars. Saw reasonable amount of audi R8 and Zonda's driving around. So it does seem to get better.

I saw banshees and ferrari-clones left and right but couldnt use them for tracking cause they're "premium" but didnt stop me from ditching my tracked car and using them.
