Honestly the romance stuff isnt too shocking, iirc in cyberpunk you had to clearly favor the person you were targeting in conversations or events. if you wanted it. If you went against them in certain parts they would just reject you. If what was said above is true, its just taking it further it seems with more of a rep feature. Maybe part of the make it more realistic like that bullet checklist posted earlier.

But I understand everyone needs to act like the ultra alpha male on the internet.

GTA4 was gay as fuck because you had to go to the internet cafe and login to GTA Facebook to arrange dates and other weird shit. They went all in on realism for that one. Along with Roman calling you constantly to go bowling or golfing. Then at the same time they added in the advanced feature of having to listen to him be all butthurt when you refuse to go.

When they kidnapped him and threatened to kill him it was a failure of the game that you couldn't just let that guy die.
