Lies and slander!

I just don't like having to fry, but when I do, I'm in it to win it. Oil is just stupid expensive now, as is catfish, which we used to fry a few times a year with shrimp , mushrooms, pickles, okra, etc.

And wtf, I make Oriental at least every other month in my amazing cast iron wok.
Wakandan you turned your nose up at my japanese cooking!

I'm sure it was delicious. Maybe I made a joke that didn't stick the landing, but you of all people know I encourage and like when people cook something good.

Unless you're making frozen pizza rolls or something gay. However, you could probably take wonton wrappers and make your own stuffing to make homemade pizza rolls, and they would be far superior.

Man, homemade pizza rolls sound awesome. I'm almost tempted to try it for the Superbowl.

Game on bro, I’ll make some and take pictures.

As for a recipe that wastes honey, candy is the best way to waste tons of it fast. Another thing I remember was literally one of the first things I ever made as a young kid. Delicious and super forgiving Honey Bee cookies.

Not the right time of year for it, but Alton Brown's cranberry sauce takes a cup of honey and it's very tasty.

I'm not going to get fancy because I have to make ribs and wings as well but I like the idea.

man, i bought a deli slicer and lots of ribeyes when i was experimenting w/ gyudon. it was cleaner and less messier to just freeze the meat for 20mins and slice thin tthan to deal w/ the deli slicer (note i actually have a good amount of experience w/ a real deli slicer, at 14 mrs kim thought it easier for me to slice up meats and vegs for subs at the grocery store)

Pre slivered almond dusting. Ugly crust, but otherwise a apricot jelly/peach tart ala Julia Child, tonight or tommorow she's doing the current and strawberry creme tart which is what I'm looking forward to.

At first I was aghast at using an entire cup of honey but once archive.is finally loaded the recipe I saw it was the only sweetener so now I'm gonna try the recipe either tonight or tomorrow, although I'll probably cook it into a jam since my cranberries are frozen.

I have found that there is very little middle ground in the asians.

My wife and mom are complete opposite, OCD - if something is near its experation/sellby/goodby/etc date, its tossed - the other side is like in the video "Eh its fine, your not dead are you?" there is very little middle ground.

Guess what side of that spectrum generally runs the restaurants ;-)

Most of that shit is so full of sodium and other preservatives that I wouldn't hesitate to use it for at least a year or two past the expiration date. Nine years is fucking crazy.

Test run of pizza rolls in the oven. First thought is steam will make them explode. Some exploding is a feature, but I want to minimize it. Rolled pizza dough between two parchment sheets with generous amounts of olive oil, cut into rectangles. Pre cooked the filling so it was about a half reduced pizza sauce. Tasting it I'm pretty sure I need to add a bucket of oregano and some MSG to hit the real processed totinos flavor, but this is my good sauce from the garden the summer, so I'm not adding that. Fresh mozz and cubed pepperoni from italy. I'm probably going to hit them with a butter and herb brush right at the end, much like the first meme recipe I downloaded 20 years ago:

I'm sure there's some disaster ahead for my plan.

Edit: Dough was too thick, I probably need to butter them before going in, and I need way more cheese than I thought I did. Half cheese is probably a minimum. I feel completely prepared to fuck it up again on the superbowl.

When I had the idea, I figured it would be easier to use the premade egg roll wrappers, just have to cut them down and figure out the folding. I mean it's on that what they use in the frozen ones, or something similar?

That way the dough is still thin and would get crunchy / chewy, but have the stretto hold the filling. Plus, you're not having to fuck around with dough making.

Making dough would be for pepperoni rolls, but that's a different animal.

No. The sheer volume of Totino's that are pumped out means they have to be fully automated. I would imagine it's done on large fabricated sheets, like muffin tins, except with a grid of evenly spaced indentations. Roll out a thin layer of dough across the sheet. Automated device deposits the volume of filling into the indentations. Next layer of dough is rolled over the top. Automated stamper/cutter seals them into individual pieces. They don't come as raw dough, so at some point in there they get a little bit of heat to firm up the shell, then shove them down a ramp to get sorted into bags and put in the freezer.

I mean I haven't had them since middle school, but I remember them kind of having the texture of an egg roll wrapper. Yeah they obviously Mass manufacture them but it's not like a regular pizza day if I recall.

It's bread/pizza dough, not pasta. Not sure what egg roll wrappers are in that spectrum. I had some earlier this week. Still love those things. Great low effort meal, and a plate of them is ~770 calories.
