I just bought an evga 970. Apparently there is a step up program where you can upgrade to a new graphics card just paying the difference as long as it is within 90 days.

NCIX has already jacked up the the price! All the ones at 909 are already floating around 940-950 :/ Luckily the VR headset isn't hitting my direction anytime soon and I can maybe skip this founders garbage.

Wait for custom models with different coolers from the big constructors (Gigabyte, Asus...). They usually are way better, clocked higher, and with lesser temp.

The pricing/performance for the third party vendors has been leaking today anyway. It looks like you'll be able to get something factory overclocked for less than $699 in two weeks.

Considering doing a complete rebuild and upgrading 18 months from now. Comparing my current card's specs to this just make me laugh at how much has improved architecture-wise. Just looking at the drop in power draw (while demolishing the older models) amazes me.

If only Windows itself had improved as much instead of paying more for less.

Paying for codecs that came with win7 out of box with my blu ray drive in win 8 and 10 upgrades rustles me a bit. Doubly so with Office going the way of Adobe suit.

seems like a good time to upgrade my 770gtx, especially if these power requirements are for real, may actually work in my SFF pc. I'm pretty retarded with this stuff in general - my OS is 32 bit( vista) - hasnt been an issue with my current card, but any reason this could effect the 1070/1080? Also side note, is it possible to upgrade to 64 bit os pretty easily/safely filewise?
