As you said it's a great casual MMO, and PoF has, even by GW2 standards, great content, possibly the best GW2 has offered yet.

I also got through the jackal mastery point in oasis, there's a jumping puzzle that eventually leads you inside the building with like 10 portals you need to dash through, so naturally I ended up cheesing it with the rabbit, there were 3 big chests at the end and a bunch of djinns trying to snipe me while looting, no achi tho, but that might be because I broke it. Totally unrelated little exploration puzzle. I'm also equally impressed by how well the entrace to a story mission is hidden in the Riverlands, I 100% the map before the story even took me there and I had no clue this place existed, possibly because I thought the mastery point would require a jackal.

I'm also pretty happy I'm playing a thief, stealth makes looting/channeling so much easier, with stealth on demand you can skip almost every headache. The minidungeon in the Deadhouse would be a bitch to solo otherwise.

The story seems to be quite nice, even if I'm getting sick and tired of standing around while people talk. I hope to get it done tonight.

I wonder if they are going to add any more dungeons in the near future.

I believe they have one more raid wing in the pipeline, but dungeons probably not, at best some new fractals. Although who knows what will LWS4 bring, but my money is on smaller maps with meta events instead.

They are no longer supporting dungeon content and consider fractals a full replacement. So no, not going to happen.

Love me more meta event, I have been a big fan of public quest from Warhammer Online and dynamic invasion event from RIFT.

Fractals are basically dungeons, I'm okay with this.

The way I have seen them done in RoF is good, if they were as big as in HoT, the exploration aspect would suffer a lot. Which is why I hope all the new ones are contained into their own maps.

That is pretty much the story of Path of Fire, hehe. So much cool history and whatnot in Elona, and the true hero of the expansion is an oversized jackalope.

Over halfway through the hunt for the griffon, I think the worst of it is over - just got Vabbi and the eggs in Desert Highlands to nab yet. The 250g hurts but griffons are the win.

Guess I'll just start running fractals again, since there's no way any farm in PoF is worth it right now, I got like 60g and 400 ectos :-/ I'm sitting on a stack of mystic coins, but no way I'm selling those.

Flax and low lvl iron/wood are my new farms. Flax in particularly nets you pretty good money if you rotate several characters in the HoT zones

Finally got to an interesting plot twist last night, really intriqued to see more.

The story is definitely better than HoT, but it's still bloody annoying how you seem to be the only who gets shit done. I know the player is the one supposed to do all the interesting things, but come on, all the NPCs are contributing oneliners at best. I wonder how much of the current story was planned at launch, since they mention events even predating Nightfall leading to the current problems.

I thought the books were really well done. It was especially cool when I found one of the characters (I forget her name) tombs at a PoI in the game, I wasn't expecting that and it was a nice touch.

I think when they start doing more living world stuff it'll get more interesting, that seems to be their track record so far.

The GW1 story wasn't bad, but at this point you'd be better off just youtubing it. The actual gameplay is still unique, but the story is very much on rails and was sprinkled inbetween meticulously peeling away mobs from the huge packs. In that aspect, I found Factions much better, since the villain actually had a point, Nightfall had better gameplay, but the story happens only because Kormir is dumb and literally useless. I haven't read the books since those based on games tend to be of questionable quality.

Desolation done, holy shit that place was enormous. Vabbi is much more fun and seems to reflect the developments in the story a lot better, shame some big events can bug out.

Finished the griffon yesterday. Then started on an alt in the older zones, trying to get my engineer up to speed. Mounts change the game, but the griffon is definitely king of bypassing mobs, hard jumps, walls, etc.
