Is anyone denying that? The point is that there is nothing about the genetic makeup of a black person that influences it. If you take a black baby and a white baby and have them raised the same way in the same place, the black baby is not going to be more likely to kill people.

You could control the results based on socioeconomic factors (If it isn't already...) and you'd start to see more even results. But you can't really control the results based on cultural factors which is a huge problem that black leaders are trying very hard to fix. The race is a bit of a red herring, it's the culture of some people of a race that is the root issue.
I think you and I agree but you're oversimplifying it. You can't just put a black and a white baby in even the same household and assume that they grow up with the same experiences, pressures etc.

To be completely fair, you can't put ANY two individuals into the same environment and expect the same results. Far too many variables, the differences in personality alone will lead to different decisions being made based on possibilities presented.
Its clear that institutional/cultural influence impacts even wealthy minorities differently than whites, in my opinion.
I think the greater point is that it is ultimately up to the individual to raise as much above his/her circumstances as possible, and societies' goal should be to limit, to the greatest extent possible within the law, the negative influences from differences such as race/gender, what have you, in the lives of individuals.
That graph makes it seem like you have your scum fairly well segregated.

which makes me wonder, why are white people so afraid of black men?if, as you elude, its mostly black on black. why are some whites so obsessed with the lives of black folk, particularly when it comes to demonizing them, but take a hands off approach when it comes to helping black people struggling through poverty? it's a huge interest designed to prove to everyone that you dont, and shouldnt, have an interest.
That is interesting, I did not really think of that. In my local area, more than 99.9% of the population is white. Black people have the same experiences and pressures as white people, because you don't racial stereotype when you only actually know two black people.

If you controlled the above graph for population count (72% for white, incl hispanics, 12% for blacks) and racial proximity you'd get most of your answer. You could probably find a well-integrated and even-raced city for that.
There's more to it though, fear of the unknown, racism etc.
I don't know your situation/town, but I'd bet a watermelon that if you told the two black people you knew they weren't stereotyped by locals and had the same experiences/pressures growing up despite their race they'd laugh at you.

I get that they have to do something to re-assure their base that they're focused on the agenda of the people, but I think that's just grandstanding. There probably won't be a better time to bring this up, but there are so many in circulation already. If they let the ban lapse again people will go buy them by the truckload again. They need to regulate them more strictly on a permanent basis. Prohibiting things entirely leads to irrational responses.
Where is Boehner on gun control? Do they expect the republicans to vote for it?
