Helped build my roommate's costume a bit by adding some lighting to her staff and also designed a rig to place under a wig between a bald cap.

My son decided against the stone wings and wanted a Rex backpack, so I got that for him. His sister wanted to go as Brite Bomber, so I bought her costume and she wanted the Lollipopper, so I’m making that for her now. Some of his friends wanted to go as Fortnite skins, so one is going as the Soccer Skin, so I am making him the stack of bricks and a mini shield from the game. His other friend is going as skull trooper, so I am making him a clinger grenade.

I feel so fucking old. I was on a business trip in Korea and just got back to discover that this weekend was the slutty Halloween weekend at every club/bar in my city. I only recalled while walking my dog at 11PM on Saturday and seeing a hot blonde vampire chick in high-heeled boots. Jesus Christ - what has become of me.

Probably. Part of me wishes we were still the type to dress up and go out for a bit, but it never lives up to expectations. If I'm being honest, it never lived up to hype when I was young and single either. Most nights devolved into a drunken mess, we just got over it faster. Nowadays a night drinking is an investment. I look at a round of shots seriously weighing the trade offs of feeling miserable the next day like I'm buying a fucking car.

Thanks! Yea, it's a 2000 mAh battery pack I think i'm going to up it since I think at most it gives about 2 1/2 - 3 hours of continual usage.

- 1 meter each. Both running off the same 5v power, ground and data pins on the controller to make sure patterns remained in sync

- I originally was going to use a Arduino Uno but after seeing what his board was capable of and how small it was it just didn't seem like it was worth re-inventing the wheel. Plus the pattern engine, interface, and wireless is beyond anything I could hope to put together in the time i had. Highly recommend if you want to do something like this.
- Generic 2000 mAh power pack for charging a phone.
- Anker makes a 10000 mAh pack that'd probably be better and give a hell of a lot better duration of use.
- Carved wood walking stick and a shit ton of electrical tape.
