So question on buying a TV off of Amazon. I am going to pick up the LG B6 but I noticed when you click on the buy used or new button it will list a bunch of sellers. Why do some places list it at used-like new and say the box has never been opened? It's always 300-500 dollars cheaper then if you buy it when it say new. Is it a scam? I mean if I can save 500 bucks that's awesome but I just don't want to get ripped off.

Could email amazon on this. They may have a reasonable explanation.

Any of you do any in-wall shenanigans to hide wires? Something like Wiremold - In-Wall Power Kit - White or the various wallplates?

With just AV and the Xbox One hooked to the TV these days, thinking of trying to go really minimal for the monolith of a console we have in the living room. We have tower speakers though, so it's not like we're reclaiming a bunch of room or anything. Would like to set things up off to the side next to a couch (relatively out of view) and then snake things between openings probably several feet.

Or I'll be lazy and leave things as is since doing things as mundane as making more speaker wire is annoying, so I'll never actually try this project, lol.

Wait, explain this to me a little more? Not familiar with perks@work or EPP.

Samsung EPP is something you can sign up through your work or maybe school email. If your company/school is partnered with Samsung (unsure how companies get on list) then you get employee pricing. There is no inviting to this, so you need an email that is eligible

Samsung

Perks@work is similar, but it is kind of an aggregate program that has a lot of different companies. If you sign up at their site with your work email it gives you access to some employee pricing for various stores depending on your email. This site allows you to invite 5 people and they will get the same discount as the person inviting. They also are a click through program where you get points for purchases made through their portal.

Perks at Work

My work email gets me epp pricing on Samsung, but for some reason not through perks@work or I would offer invites.

One thing I didn't mention is Samsung is also 10% cash back through discover

Is your TV mounted on an interior wall, or exterior? By that I mean, are both sides of the wall inside, or is one the outside of your house/apartment?
If it's an interior wall, doing "shenanigans" is no problem at all. Unless the builder of your property went completely overboard, you don't have any interior insulation. As such, walls are mostly empty. Cut a little square hole in your drywall (behind the TV) using a Drywall Saw. Then cut another one much lower (near the floor) that is hopefully hidden by a TV cabinet or whatever. Outside of a random power cable running through the wall, it'll be completely empty inside, so you can effortlessly run the cables down and grab them with a little claw thing. I do it all the time, really easy.

In fact, here's a picture of "most" interior walls. They have open board setup sandwitched between sheets of Drywall.

Those are some fuck yeah! prices! I gotta get me in on this EPP thing. Samsung has a number of cool programs though, as I heard there is one that you can try out new phones and stuff way early. Or get the phone for free just by providing some feedback for it. Of course, that program is probably not the best right now given the Note 7 situation, but still, cool to get free phones and shit.

Apparently my company does participate in Samsung EPP, but not the good one. Logging in thorough our portal (which does confirm EPP) only gets me like $50 off. The 65KS8000 still comes in at $1629 or so.

Just constantly refresh slick deals or set up an alert. One guy said they cut off the Perks @ Work invites so that route may be dead unless you know someone.

I keep checking our EPP portal but haven't scene the crazy prices yet. Feels like $1379 will be a good BF target deal without going through the Employ / Perks route.

$1379 from NewEgg or $1479 + free 2 year warranty from Costco seem to be the big ones today.

I checked on our Samsung EPP through the Hartford and it was a joke.

Planned for a 70 in the basement but it seems like a big jump from 65, Samsung doesn't even make 70 in most of its lines.

Hopefully black Friday delivers

So many people saying EPP is still $1079 for the KS8000 but I haven't seen any confirmation. Which doesn't matter to me apparently since our EPP link doesn't move past the $1499 and up there are like 50 better offers from eBay, Costco, etc...

I know nothing about tv's. Still using a 32" 720p Westinghouse from 2008. My budget for a new tv this Black Friday is $450. I want something that compliments the PS Pro I picked up. Anyone willing to help point me in the right direction? I appreciate the help.

That's ridiculous pricing. Couldn't fathom spending that on a tv. I bet it looks good though.

I still see the 1079 price. It's all dependent on your employer and what agreement they have.
