Lowest price on IE80s ever in Canadia so I snagged a pair. Fun to listen to and polar opposites to my Westone 4R. I like the bass and sound stage, but less clarity and balanced (duh) as the 4R. It's nice to switch up the sound once in awhile in the gym without bringing my cans.

I want some headphones for airplane travel. Thinking maybe some closed back Sennheiser's or branching out to Audio Technica or something.

bose quiet comfort are pretty good for reducing cabin noise.

Yea, I don't touch Bose for anything else but I have had both of the last gen Quiet Comfort headphones specifically for flying. Life on a plane without it is miserable.

I just bought a pair of Sony MDR-1000x for travel, very pleased with them so far. It was down to those or the Bose QC35s, for a little more money the Sony's had more features and felt like a more premium headphone. Can't go wrong with the Bose QC range though, they're also great.

Wondering if any Bluetooth experts can tell me about the limitations of Blueooth pairing.

The use case I am considering is an audio sink such has some headphones that could potentially be paired with dozens of audio sources that are in the field- the idea being that when I approach one while wearing a headset I will receive audio from the paired device. I am only expecting to actually connect to one at any given time.

Is it feasible for an audio sink to be paired with this many devices? Is this a design limitation of the manufacturer or does the spec dictate it? Google fu is failing me.

Read through the thread, looking to pick up some half decent PC speakers, but couldn't find any reco's.

Nothing too fancy, looking to spend <$500, probably a 2.1 system with headphone/mic input as well ideally. I'm in an apartment, so definitely don't need much power for the sub. Looking for something pretty general purpose: music, gaming and the occasional movie/TV show.

I was thinking I'd probably pick these up (non-bluetooth version): ProMedia 2.1 Bluetooth Computer Speakers | Klipsch just wanted to get your guys input and make sure they aren't shit/I'm not missing a way better option.

Thanks for the suggestion Gogu, they look great, but they're a bit outside my price range up here in Canada.

Korn or Limp Bizkit?
when I was in 7th grade Limp Bizkit was my favorite band. I thought Fred Durst was really fucking cool. when they came out with their 3rd CD though they lost me. they eventually became such a joke that now it is often forgotten how good their first CD was which is one of the greatest masterpieces in the history of music. a lot of their early songs had a very cool and unique ethereal sort of sound that doesn't get the credit that it should.

Korn on the other hand I think Follow the Leader was the only CD I was really into. they always kind of weirded me out and their fans were pretty weird too.

if I had to chose to see one or the other today it would be Limp Bizkit in a heartbeat, though that's partly because I've seen Korn like 3 or 4 times and never Limp Bizkit (because they're never touring or at least never at big festivals that I'm at).

Mist Mist thoughts on the matter?

I went to a best buy with my dad when I was in 5th grade. He told me to pick out a CD so I picked out a Korn album, don't remember which one. He called it pornographic and laughed at me. I still live with the shame of that to this day.
