I have no experience with other plants but I can say I love my Anandas. They don't seem to have as much treble issues as a lot of other Hifiman models reportedly have. I think it's a great entry way to planar's.I have the Ananda's. I would try them also. You will probably save yourself a couple hundred bucks.
I got one from Sennheiser just last month. Was on sale for 199.Well shit, and I never bit the bullet on a set of Sennheiser HD6xx's.

Hmm okay. When I looked a few weeks ago it was like 320 for the HD6XX.The Drop versions are still on Amazon, prices looked the same when I looked a few weeks back.

So I got a pair of those HiFiMan Sundara today since they were so cheap. I had been considering buying the Arya Organics, but was reluctant to due not being to hear them prior to the buy. I've been switching back and forth between two other headsets for the past hour or so, listening to the same songs at the same volume levels. Its impressive how different each of them sounds, and also annoying, lol.
Sony Pulse 3D; closed back, so its sound by default is totally different. That being said, it has a smooth response, but with what seems to be a boosted low end either by design or due to being closed back. The "soundstage" for these is small compared to the others, but that doesn't really matter too much as the sound is really clean. The biggest negative with these is that being closed back has them pick up every little head movement / cord movement.
Sennheiser HD599; have had these for many years now, compared to the other two it has a pronounced bump in the mids.
Sundara; still really new to my ears, but being open back they sound much different than the Pulse 3D's (both planar). Not nearly as strong of a bass sound as the Pulse, but more detail / depth to the lows than with the 599's, overall it sounds flat but with solid low end. Reminds me a bit of a pair of Sony MDR-somethings I had like 20yrs ago.
Waaaay too much effort, though I think the Sundara would benefit from a bit of tweaking. Now go configure eq apo for each set and be even more enthralled.

Anyone use Bluetooth with windows? Specifically the AAC codec. The audio visual desync is bugging me on a product that is otherwise quite satisfactory(jlab work buds).
Don't...Anyone use Bluetooth with windows? Specifically the AAC codec. The audio visual desync is bugging me on a product that is otherwise quite satisfactory(jlab work buds).
Most of the time I use blue tooth headphones because it's easy to switch between computer and phone audio. It also gives me freedom to move around. When I'm at my desk it's usually for work, so being able to switch is important. It sucks as I can't use all the cool stuff I have often.Anyone use Bluetooth with windows? Specifically the AAC codec. I think with the newer versions of Bluetooth, you can get pretty decent sound as long as there is a decent DAC chip and decent power source. Not sure I can find what I want otherwise. My noggin cracks headbands and the ear buds are for blocking noise. Is there a wired version of that?
