When I was a kid 11-12 I jumped off our front porch onto a nail. Got it WAY up in there. They cleaned the hole and packed it full of gauze. I had to keep it in there for a few days. Real fun when they pulled it out.
I had a nail go through my foot at that age. They put a bandaid on it and gave me a tetanus shot.

One of my crowns just fell out the night before halloween, and I don't got time to go to the dentist until friday. I'm still gonna eat candy with my exposed nub and aint nobody can stop me. Maybe I can polydent this shit back in or something. Where Sanrith Descartes Sanrith Descartes to ask questions about dentures when you need him.

Antibiotics are an important tool that can be abused/misused/incorrectly prescribed like any other. Unfortunately, we often don’t know long term/over use/multiple order effects.

add in pharmacy industry fuckery for extra fun
Yea, I really try to avoid antibiotics when they aren't completely necessary. I think they can cause some huge harms as a side effect. That said, they also can pretty much save your life... But I sure as heck aint touching them unless I'm in that category or in a situation that can quickly put me in that category.

I definitely go out of my way to rebuild my gut culture afterwards too. Doing things like making your own sour cream/yogurt/sour dough starter are a great way to introduce local bacteria back into your system and taste great too.

I didn't get intubated but when I was transferred down to Barnes they placed a central line in anticipation of a thoracotomy that ended not being done. Was a bit of a surprise to wake up with a jungle of IV lines sprouting out of my neck but the indescribable pain from what they did carve out of my chest was a pretty good distraction.
