There's a guy I golf with like that, the dude is 83 and still walks and carries his bag for 18 holes. And if you ever met him, you would be shocked to find out how old he is. He looks like he's in his 60s. Coincidentally he and his wife are big skiers. Maybe there's something to that sport.

Welp, doctor can't see me until Monday so now I get to be a slave to my thoughts all weekend.

I would bet you good money that man put in time at the gym strength and mobility training. I'm not quite 50 but all the guys I play ball with are falling into 2 camps... the guys who just play sports/do activities and the guys who train for fitness and also play sports. The fitness guys are all still playing after 2 hours, the sports guys their backs hurt, their shoulders hurt, their knees hurt...

Being an unhealthy 80 year old who has to use a walker to move and c has had serious issues the past 30 years isn't something I would wish on my enemies.

I got diagnosed first via just general exam but they had to put the dye in me to really check the vessels. That sucked ass

It's been a long time ago but the first time I had the exam they do with dye I passed out cold turkey in milliseconds. All they had asked was I allergic to shelfish. I was born in Louisiana, umm nope. It was like the dye was refrigerated and super cold. I never went back to that doctor and never had the issue again. Let me tell you when you instantly go out and wake up to the doctor and a nurse picking up your legs kinda throws you for a loop and I let them know how I felt. Like verbal communication was a lost art suddenly with them. Never said a word until I was able to stand up and walk out.

They told me if I felt any itchiness to immediately tell them so they could stop, so I totally get this

I already know I have shit genetics as far as melanoma goes , I've already been 'popped' with a mole on the back of my ear. Went for another 3 month checkup last week (routine for 2 years since they found a place). He finds another one he doesn't like so he sends it off.

Get a call today at 10:30am - more accurate to say I see I have a VM at 10:30 since it never rang. They leave a message to call them. Which I did 3x today. The practice I see is in my local 2-bit town, the owner is in CA. CA is who called.

Had running around to do so fuck it, go by the local place. The doc says yeah that came back asymmetrical, but I can fit you in today. Shaved it all out and doing another biopsy to make sure it's all gone. Doc said he will call me himself since I cannot get in touch with CA.

CA still has not called, it's end of day for them. Grrrr

So after waiting the weekend and then having a major snowstorm that shut down everything I finally saw the doctor today. Retina looks good, apparently I have "post op debris" in my eye. Whatever the fuck that is. But it seems at least I won't require more surgery, just need to use the prednisone eye drops for longer. Big relief.

You know you can get that shit totally without prescription on any number of peptide sites. I dunno what you're having to pay but even with insurance the peptide sites are usually cheaper, and no doctor/insurance hassle. You already have a prescription, just get your shit elsewhere.

Those sites sell compounded drugs that are not FDA approved. They're mostly the same shit probably but mostly if you have a high deductible health plan (which almost everyone does now because the ACA gave untold amounts of power to insurance companies via demand contrary to its intent and thats basically the only thing on offer) it won't count towards your deductible.

In other words, America.

I'm talking about the research chemical sites.

Reta isn't even approved yet and like half the bodybuilders at my gym are on it. It's all chinese shit I'm sure but none of them have died.

Usually the same thing, but maybe even shadier and obviously not covered by insurance.

EDIT: But you had mentioned he can get it without prescription. He can't. Those commercials you see for HIMS and HERS and RO and whatever else are drug compounders and they are selling the same active ingredient but they are not selling the official drug, they are making their own formula.

You can get it off grey market compounding sites, if you're ok with the risk of dosing yourself with contaminants like formaldehyde. Extremly risky and not something I would ever recommend.

You can get reta on these peptide sites.

You can verify the labs results in public testing:

You guys spend your money how you like, the pharmacies you're buying from buy the same chinese shit and test it in the same way. I'm just providing alternative information. Make your own choices, as you always should.

You can make whatever choice you want. It's not up to me what's illegal or not (thats up to the lawyers).

I will explain why its risky, so you don't think im just being a contrarian.

The reason it says in giant capital letters "NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION":

The simple explanation is that 99.8% purity might sound good on paper but it isn't acceptable for human use.

The more accurate explaination is that the final-step manufacturer will control purity and contaminants because they are legally liable to do so. There are also important things to control beyond purity. For example, the dosing mechanism for an injectable or oral system delivers an extremly precise, controlled dose. You cant get that with DIY injection or mixing at home. So your delivered dose is going to vary in a way that is unacceptable.

See 21 CFR part 211:

I'll spare you the math, but a much higher level of product quality is required by the FDA before selling a drug to the user. A quality system is expected to deliver a proveable 99.99966% "known good" acceptance rate for a finished injectable product, and like I mentioned, it accounts for many more potential quality problems beyond drug purity.

If all that sounds expensive, thats because it is.

It finally got approved. If the mounjaro was just for vanity I might go elsewhere, but it's part of my diabetes health care plan and I don't really want to fuck with that. Actually need to try to get them to switch to Amazon pharmacy, but I'm a little worried with delivery schedule of refrigerated drug.
