I’ve yet to succeed in one of the new mission types where you have to stop their landing of 40+ ships. Everything will be going okay and then I’ll get overrun by overseers and lose within 3 minutes.

Those missions are tough - the longer ships stay up, the more shit that spawns. They usually land in clusters or 2 or 3. The lander ships do show up on the map. Main goal is killing the ships, once you deplete reserve ships and landed ship quota is done, mission is complete

splitting your team into 2 squads seemed to work well when I ran it

Im enjoying the new difficulty with the illuminate. They were a push over before, now if you get separated from your group it's almost a guaranteed death.

What level do you play on? A few days ago my brother and I played a handful of 40 min levels at Helldive difficulty (9/10) and it may have just been the people we were paired with, but it was ROUGH. I dont even think we extracted from the first one. My brother is lvl 150, Im almost lvl 90, but I think it really does make or break depending on who your partners are.

Maybe I need to add some of yall on steam so I dont get matched with incompetent nosebleeders who decide to throw Napalm Barrage into the immediate area or who respawn you right into the LZ for a 500 kg bomb.

What level do you play on? A few days ago my brother and I played a handful of 40 min levels at Helldive difficulty (9/10) and it may have just been the people we were paired with, but it was ROUGH. I dont even think we extracted from the first one. My brother is lvl 150, Im almost lvl 90, but I think it really does make or break depending on who your partners are.

I play on 10 usually. They've done a good job making each faction challenging its own way. Loadouts also play a huge factor in success and many common loadouts simply don't work well against the illuminate. You have to stick together and you need options that will put tons of rounds down range.

The low cooldown mini gun turret is huge for clearing the voteless hordes. As is the arc thrower and LMGs. Illuminate are mostly medium armor so there isn't a huge reason to have rocket launchers, but the auto cannon is great for taking down the strafing jets, the new monstrosity and walkers.

If you can stay out melee range you're golden. If they get that close you're likely going to die.

Crossbow and a MG stratagem works well for the landed ships. Pop the shield with the mg, then a single crossbow shot into the open door insta kills the ship

Hornet launcher is useful too - makes shooting down the jetpack guys easier since they constantly move around. 2-3 darts will take them down. The darts are also useful on walkers since they pop the shields quickly from long range

Landed ships are easy for me.
Primary gun the shield until it bursts. Then switch to the grenade pistol. One shot into the door and it explodes.

the issue is more the heavier armor dudes for me. Especially the new flood monstrosity ones that have 4 arms.

Ya those flesh heap fuckers are hard because they run super fast once they enrage and if you have medium/heavy armor you aren’t outrunning them. The trick with them is to kill all the glowing faces on them. Weapons with shrapnel work well or fire/gas weapons or powerful explosives, tricky bit is they have faces on the front and back.

My go-to-armor set is no gimmicks, but 100 armor and 550 run. So its the speed of a light armor set but the defense of a medium armor set. It's GOAT.
