If it makes me not a true fan or not, idc. What was so special about HOMM3's Horn of the Abyss? Also, yea, I didnt think of mod support. All the shit I would have changed in some older games - mainly just quality of life shit.

HotA is special because there was no mod support for HOMM III. So they had to do it the hard way. It also fixes a lot of bugs in the original game

It's pretty awesome. Definitely has a lot of HoMM 3 vibes. It needs to be fleshed out a bit more and I'd have liked to see a $25 price point better, but I was up until 1am getting my ass kicked on Hard.

HoMMOE looks pretty good. Waiting for 1.0 release to buy it, but I loved the other HoMM games, so going HoMMOE won't be a problem.

I don't prebuild but for those prices I may have to. I'm also very leery of that un needed power cable on the Nvidia cards.

No to mention , there isn't a Microcenter near me (thankfully or I would be broke all the time).

The catch is you have to buy another 32 gigs of RAM on your own. That's pushing over 3k. You do save some money on the pre-built but it's not as much savings as the sticker price would have you believe.

64 gb ram does nothing to improve gaming performance at this stage of the game.
