Wife had me do so much random ish during Christmas....

Seal and Kilz paint all A/C ducts... some had some "mold" she saw somewhere on youtube this dude like "Its caused because the register boxes are merely "set" on the hole on the ceiling drywall, any gap etc. has hot attic air meet cold AC air and causes condensation" - sure sounds probable - so I caulked all the openings, then painted and sealed the thing and the inside of the register with kilz - and put on all new register vents throughout the house.

Replaced the front door...that was not quite the correct size for any new door, nor a proper size for a prehung...so off we go with removal of like...these 2x6's that were butterfly bolted into my cinderblock? wtf charlie.

Replaced mailbox and post with new mailbox, new slat style post thing and LED address lights.

Other random stuff... new roof is being installed on the 19th....all the supplies got dropped off today.

Here's a weird one - I came across this stone today at a worksite. I don't know exactly what it is. It could be green marble? It could be Jasper? Can anyone identify this? It's 2' long and 8" square. Has to weigh 120 pounds. Someone help me out!

For what would something like that, in those dimensions be used?
2 foot long and 8 inches wide? That's real close to the measurements for the flat top I put on a half height wall in our entryway....

As you can see, mine's done in wood, but a long piece of 8" wide stone like that (with appropriate bullnose around the edge) could also work pretty perfectly there.

I thought maybe a sill of some type, or a custom shelf.

In my extremely modest home: new kitchen floor (went with Mannington Adura LVT), and new countertop with a new double sink have been installed. I decided to keep the cabinetry, and finally found a backsplash I like, it still needs to be installed.
I flipping love the style/coloration/pattern of the floor. It hides dirt amazingly well.

It's not quite like that. It's 8 inches square and two feet long. I think it might have been used as a pedestal for some display or something.

There is a guy on ar15.com that lives in Austin or nearby and one of his neighbors had a mentally challanged son that moved into a house a block away from his parents and near him. Pink house. I mean 100% pink. He used ot post pics of it not sure if they finally moved or what. Driving down property taxes is what people would say. They said it calmed the guy. If you need a pink house to be calm you have other issues. I think the roof was pink too.

Well you said he was mentally challenged ..

We had a guy put a bunch of mannequins on his front deck dressed as real people, guy was autistic and it was just his fun thing. Of course people complained to the cops too many times at night because they were driving by and thought people were breaking into his house. Made me a little sad to no longer see them.
