This has been known for years. DaBomb is just liquid fire compared to the rest. Having tried it myself I would almost rather eat a carolina reaper again and that melted my inner ears.

Watching the contestant"s reactions fully supports those numbers. They breeze through the first 6 and then usually comment that its getting a little real at number 7. Then they get slapped by the one that everyone knows about. The last 2 are pallet cleansers.

DaBomb is not a sauce like people think of sauces. It is an additive that is used in drops for soups and actual sauces. It is supposed to be extreme but not actually consumed or spread like a sauce. That is why the flavor is awful by itself.

Now, change up the show a bit and do the same thing with peppers. Eat one pepper and then continue the interview working your way up to Pepper X. I am pretty sure few celebrities would go for that.

yeah i've tried a lot of uber hot sauces over the years, da bomb was just bad. terrible taste and burned like a mother fucker. any of those pepper extract 'sauces' are trash when used as an actual sauce.

That segment on why chillis might have evolved to have such high capsaicin levels was pretty interesting.

Who knew that a sauce would have a different heat profile from a raw pepper.
