Yeah... now unlock all the skins ;)

Your autism awaits!
Already did. Bountiful 200 is the hardest but happens naturally on the way, also rebirthing 50 times. But that darkness mofo first starts appearing arena >40k+ and that takes some muscle to get there.

I don't know but getting older I really enjoy idle/incremental games. You young folks enjoying your battle field 6 is fine and exciting but me I need to watch numbers grow while the nurse brings my tea.

Btw: r/incremental is a nice source but @idlecub YT channel is premium news source for new idle games coming out.

Oh wait, I hadn't even noticed that he took out the one for getting to 500% on the 1% PI upgrades. heh

My autism is slipping in my old age.

OK. Now on current rebirth...

I have thought about it, the "end game" here is diamond accumulation. But it is put behind the same exponential curve of "credits cost you more the more credits/diamonds you have" which means it has a soft cap which end up feeling pretty hard. Essentially when I see prices for the next 25 ranks (2x) of a skill end with No, that is telling me "No, you won't be getting this in all likelihood on this rebirth at least". And it's starting to feel like it's not "...on this rebirth at least" because the cost curve for credits is starting to accentuate.

Which made me think of ways to redo the cost curve of credits/diamonds.

Hear me out...

You get 2 credits for winning an arena, and you LOSE 1 for losing. This way you consistently earn credits, with a bigger boost coming early on when you're plowing through. Then even when you win one/lose one you're still netting around a credit every 60 seconds. Then to drain diamond accounts, you add cards :
  • Earn 3 credits per win
  • Earn 4 credits per win
  • Earn 5 credits per win
  • No longer lose credits when losing an arena
Arena not running when it's minimized? Can we detect that within the game? If so, you just calculate a "simulated credit earn" while it's minimized like Passive Income but for credits (You can calculate the "credits per minute" knowing the win/loss award ratio and assuming a 50/50 win/loss rate.)

So here is essentially the soft cap, at least for me.

Mostly because the cost to next 2X on the money making skills are all in the "That's gonna take a couple weeks" range, and the time in second per credit is creeping back up now (got it down to 24 seconds, already back up to 27 when I did my last significant 2x instead of going down) This rebirth has been running now for just over 2 weeks. Arena is stagnated around 57850 or so...

Did one more rebirth, and now this is the more real soft cap.

Mantra all along for me has been "Get half your diamond count in credits then rebirth" so my rebirth count is still moderately low. But now this is where it's deterring me. Last rebirth (see post before this) was managed to get to around 20 seconds per credit. This time at around 10Sp/sec It only managed to get down to 30sec per credit. Then when I got to 11Sp/sec it started going back up (now 34 sec).

Meaning if my goal is to get to my next credit plateau (75k credits), the best strategy is to NOT raise my PI any further meaning not buying any more or any more +1% PI ranks? Best strat to get to where I want to is not to play and minimize it for a couple weeks?

I'll keep an eye in case this start moving again, but for now I'm probably going to step back from Earl as well. ;) Although P pwe I still say this has been a fun little game and definitely kept my 'Tism occupied for a while now.

Played idle earl for a bit. Got saddened when my time per diamond when from 17 sec each down to 18 or 19 after I purchased something. Also after beefy earl it was mostly a waiting game as if I upgraded the time per diamond increased and reviving just took a few hours away from farming diamond and didnt feel worth the revive. Im at 14k diamonds but feel I hit diminishing returns.

Great idle game, don't take that criticism as any negative.

Although I'm curious on what influences the time to get a diamond and why it goes up sometimes?
