I have had TSLA puts for July for quite some time, they are well profitable but I think it will drop much more on bad news about the robots and taxi crap. Are you hoping to collect the 320$ or are you hoping to pick up shares at a good price?

I mean he's not wrong, a true viable third party would be one of the best things that could happen to us. The game theory of two-party winner takes all is not panning out in our favor. But not him or his.

I'm good either way. That would be a $217 cost basis if assigned so I am good takin the shares there.

IV on TSLA has doubled since I wrote my puts this morning. Decided to roll out and up to take advantage and to also try to jump beyond all this current noise. Rolled out to Sept and rolled up up to the $250 strike for a premium of $27.92. Two scenarios. One, I get assigned in Sept but with the added premium my cost basis goes from $217 to $229 so not a huge difference in the big picture. The alternative is this thing cools down over the next month or two and I pocket about $21 in premium as long as it ends above $250. I am net profitable on assignment all the way down to $230.

Only reason this worked is the huge jump in IV.
