I regret buying into SOXL. I thought I was being smart by buying the dip..

50 shares @ $57
50 shares @ $48
100 shares @ $38
100 shares @ $32

This turd dropped all the way from $68. My cost basis is ~$40 but I have a bad feeling it's going to hit the teens before it gets anywhere close to $40.

Premiums are also garbage now so can't even sell calls, but I did make some on the way down.

This is the sum of the parts argument for google. Obviously can argue with some of the valuations but even taking a more pessimistic view you start to see there is a good bit of potential value inside google than it's current share price shows.

I wonder where Android as an OS and whatnot, and the associated Google devices and such figure into this mix. If they REALLY want to screw with Google IMHO they force them to divest Android and it's related ecosystem.

Falling knives are painful to catch. Decide if it's going to recover, if not then cut bait and reinvest the remaining capital.
You can run covered calls to make some premium back but you are so underwater that getting assigned would be painful.

We have all been there. Sucks.

Idk if it will recover, but I'm planning on holding it. I got burned really badly when interest rate hikes started and am only now breaking even.

Can never really predict the market, some of my holdings had been down for a long time then out of nowhere on zero news the stock bumps at 30% in a few days. With something as volatile as SOXL I'd rather hold and collect premium while I wait for recovery.

You’re in a 3x levered semiconductor ETF. These type of tickers are not meant as long term holds. They have decay built into them. You are also buying into the highest chip valuations seen since leading up to the dotcom bubble (AI hype). Just be aware of the huge risk you assuming here. The decay alone should be concerning.

Eff that. Money is money. I bought DIS this year when it was testing the Covid prices in the $80s. Sold on the 120’ish pop on news. Rebought back down in recent lows and now sitting at a 20% gain again on that position. My profits always come before my politics. No apologies.

Just so people know it's not all sunshine, I was assigned on my 440 MSTR put, and it's now at 411! This was a 0DTE I placed on Friday.

My actual cost basis is something like 431.xx(still calculating). I sold the exact same 440CC for 25.42.

So if assigned again I will have made 3.5k ish for a 44k investment for 1 week....or 7.8% by my math. If not assigned I made 2.5k for a week off the same amount. I will continue to wheel this until the IV dies down. Not quite sure I am on the MSTR long term hype chain yet and I would have double bitcoin exposure due to my BITO holdings.

This thing has a WSB craze behind it at the moment, but unlike GME it is actually backed by something, just a question of believing in that something which is bitcoin can't lose.

I bought into SCMI when I last talked about it. Was thinking "Lets see where this goes" with 644 shares at 23.28/piece. Should have bought it when it was down low at 17, but I had just came off shorting it. Never mind 15k was all I had in free equity. Also thinking, no way this shit will keep going up. But now?... Market closed at 38.41 today. Thank you for the additional ~9743 so far,
