If you believe the analysts they've been saying 2026 and 2027 will continue upward. 2026 was supposed to be choppy first half of year. So far they've been right.

What you're hearing, is companies lying about being AI companies and using nebulous terminology to package old fashioned software and services as "AI". The industry is full of snake oil.

Technically my company uses AI, a guy wrote down 74192 instead of 71492 and they wanted me to correct it and send them a PDF of it, so I just had grok generate an image with the correction. I wasn’t about to spend 45 minutes driving back and forth for that shit.

Every company uses AI. What I am referring to is companies then turning around and selling their products/services as AI simply because their employees leverage AI to do their normal tasks.
