binged through the season before the finale soon. i still like watching the show but these 50 minute episodes are taxing. Way, way, way too much filler or repetitive fights that drag episodes down.
It was cooling seeing Viltrumites fight for the first few seasons, but now it all just feels kinda random with the power levels. Red monsters can kill them sometimes, sometimes they can rip those apart easily. Dart that depowers them, but only got 10... don't save it for thragg or anything, that would be crazy! 3 eyed green alien survived 100 years trapped in rubble with no food/water, almost dies (?) without space helmet. Is Tiger Battlemaster a joke character or supposed to be taken seriously, really hard to tell sometimes. 10 minute space fights between 20 people has been done like 5 times this season, its gotten boring which is crazy to say.
Only real surprise this season has been Thadeus, the leader of the coalition (ex-V). I 100% expected a heel turn and "muahahaha here is my actual evil plan!" but nope... lol. Otherwise the story feels pretty predictable and mostly uninteresting, we've seen so many characters "die" and come back now that killing someone doesn't really have a shock value anymore. Thragg is ridiculously OP and yet seems to be the stupidest leader in the history of sci fi.
Honestly at this point I'm sorta over the whole Viltrumite thing, they have become very 1 dimensional as villains and we've seen so many killed off in so many random ways. I wish they would have done more with the plague, all the anti-viltrumite tech and possible side effects, dead body orbital ring graveyard, "HOLY SHIT NOLAN ACTUALLY FOUND TWO PLANETS WHERE WE CAN FUCK OUR CIVILIZATION BACK". The latter especially is really annoying, you'd think that would be a top priority.
