Tried to watch it this afternoon. Made it 37 minutes into the film before I had to turn it off.
Too weird. Not that interesting.
This upset me because I love Wes Anderson's movies. The Royal Tenebaums, Moonrise Kingdom, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Darjeeling Limited, Hotel Chevalier are all in my top favorites. But this was just so weird and bland at the same time I couldn't get into it. I feel the same way about Fantastic Mr. Fox, and I'm very on the fence about The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou so perhaps I shouldn't be surprised.
