It's certainly out of nowhere. Dude was cool with me for the past several years up until yesterday.

I've already been looking for a new job so I am not too concerned about any PIP shenanigans.

He may have not been. I had a similar discussion with a coworker (Director) recently. He had been procrastinating delivering poor performance news for quite a while with one of his team members. Remember. Bosses are humans and are flawed as well.

If that's the case he totally lied to me during my last performance review also.

You guys have any sos (system of systems) you have to build out all the time? Ansible is great for that sort of thing.

Working in an open office/scrum setup you really get an idea of how shitty people are with their hours. I come in before 90% of our two teams cohabitating and leave after 90% of them. Every day.

On the flip side, I have observed plenty of people who work ridiculous numbers of hours and wear that as a badge of honor, yet ultimately produce no better than the nine-to-fiver who gets things done efficiently. Or course, all things being equal, someone working ten hour days will outproduce the same person putting in 7-8 hours, but I think the modern workplace has brainwashed a lot of employees into feeling way too much pride about how many hours they work, especially compared to others.

Ansible has been pretty great for scripting large scale changes and reporting on enterprise level number of systems (10,000+).

Our time card system is always pretty loose. Like you bill your hours to whatever.

However you often run into the problem of getting assigned to work that you're not on the books for. But if you correctly bill hours to it you're then in trouble for not billing hours to what's in the books.

Which leads to everyone just toeing the line even if it's not what they've been doing at all.

Alright Regex experts, I need a pattern to match this...

(R,C,126)

I need the pattern match on the parenthesis BUT exclude them in the result, as well as then match a comma-separated list of values excluding the commas. So, using an iterator, the output would be:

R
C

This is for C++, if that makes any difference. Javascript has some limitations with its regex expressions which isn't implacable here.

This feels like the wrong usage for a regex. Why not strip [0] and [-1] and then split on comma?

And what % of those people are dead weight? I know I wasn't that impressed with other Defense Contractors when I worked at them. Lots of very useless people taking pay while the burdon of the real work fell on a small group of competent people.
