I work in infosec with a background in cryptography. I ran a nvlap lab and cmvp cavp program. Quantum is snake oil. If in theory it works eventually. It still would only apply to state secrets level shit. Not a fintech with customer data

I put Graphene OS on my phone and thus the company stuff can't really work on it. Hasn't been an issue now that our work computers have biometric on them natively.

Surprised you don't issue him one. That's what the gov does.

Also, I'll speak against quantum being completely BS. The theory makes absolutely no sense and there's no path to realizing quantum computing in any of our lifetimes or ever, but it may someday produce a useful amount of atomic control in a quantum-contraindicated way. I think there is a purpose to some of the research being conducted if you have a horizon centuries in the future.

Quantum computing as it exists today is all categorically a lie, though.
