Borland turbo pascal and a book on how to start programming physical simulations when i was in junior high. Not only got me into programming, but really interested in the math of physics also. Set me on my future career.

Best present for me is probably my first commodore. PC opened up a whole new world for me and led me to my love of gaming. Wasn't much into the old nintendo, but I played the shit out of the Ultima series, and Champions of Krynn.
